Beyond Weekly Classes
Where Your Child Learns, Leads,
and Performs
Extracurricular opportunities give your child more than just additional practice—they open the door to connection, responsibility, and pride. Beginning at age 3, your child will take the stage in a year-end performance that celebrates progress and passion. As they continue, they’ll have the chance to audition for the AoD Company, assist in younger classes as a Teacher Apprentice, or prepare for future opportunities through the Career Bound program. These experiences are designed to help your child develop technical skill, confidence, and leadership they can carry far beyond the dance floor.

More Than Just Dance Class

Progress shows in more than just movement. With each rehearsal and performance, dancers discover what’s possible through effort, and learn to carry themselves with pride.

From shared rehearsals to meaningful events, dancers build friendships, learn teamwork, and feel part of a community where their presence matters—on and off the dance floor.
Encouraging Leadership, Creativity, and Personal Growth
At this stage, dancers begin stepping into roles that go beyond movement. Whether leading a warm-up, supporting younger classes, or taking the stage at special events, they experience what it means to contribute, collaborate, and take pride in their progress.
Classes continue to build strong technique while also encouraging creativity, responsibility, and connection. With every opportunity, dancers learn to speak through movement, build trust with others, and recognize their own potential—both on stage and in everyday life.
Every dancer, beginning at age 3, has the chance to step into the spotlight during our annual year-end performance. How Extracurricular Dance Experiences Support
Your Child Differently
After-school activities are not one-size-fits-all. While many programs emphasize competition, drills, or routine structure, dance extracurriculars offer a more balanced experience. From performing on stage to learning leadership, your child gains skills that shape confidence, creativity, and community. Here’s how dance stands apart from more traditional options.
Many programs center on endurance or competition, leaving little space for self-expression or emotional development.
Less experienced participants may get fewer chances to shine, which can lead to frustration or loss of interest.
Competitive environments can sometimes overshadow the joy of learning and trying new things.
Large team sizes often mean limited personal coaching or feedback.
Dance encourages individuality, expression, and emotion—helping each child grow in ways that extend beyond physical skill.
Whether learning, performing, or helping in class, each child has meaningful roles and is supported at their own pace.
Dancers progress in a way that feels encouraging. Milestones are celebrated, and effort is always recognized.
With small group sizes and thoughtful instruction, each dancer gets personalized guidance and the confidence to keep moving forward.

Building Skills Through Variety, Expression, and Fun
At this level, dancers benefit from variety that keeps learning exciting and engaging. Classes include ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and tumbling—each one offering a new way to build coordination, musicality, flexibility, and focus. Movements are taught with care, blending discipline with creativity to support progress at every stage.
Along the way, dancers gain more than technique. They learn to express ideas, collaborate with others, and feel proud of what they accomplish. Whether picking up new choreography or perfecting a rhythm pattern, every class is an opportunity to grow in skill and confidence. At the end of the season, dancers take the stage to perform for family and friends—a celebration of their commitment, growth, and love of dance.

Inspired Learning Through Movement and Style
Classes introduce dancers to ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and tumbling—each one building physical strength and creative confidence. With thoughtful instruction, students develop balance, coordination, and rhythm while also learning how to bring their own personality to each style. Whether perfecting a turn or finding musical accents in choreography, dancers are pushed to grow in ways that feel motivating and meaningful.
The learning environment combines structure with curiosity, allowing each dancer to feel both guided and free to explore. Alongside technique, students build focus, perseverance, and the confidence to share their voice through movement. The season wraps with a live performance where dancers take the stage and celebrate their progress with family, friends, and peers.

Where Confidence Grows and Creativity Comes Alive
Dance classes offer more than physical movement—they give each dancer a space to build confidence, develop coordination, and discover the joy of expressing themselves through rhythm and style. With each step, turn, and leap, students gain strength not just in their technique, but in how they carry themselves beyond the studio.
The environment encourages growth without pressure. Through consistent structure, students learn how to stay focused, work well with others, and reach goals with a sense of pride. Whether rehearsing with peers or performing on stage, dancers feel supported, valued, and celebrated. The end-of-season recital becomes more than a showcase—it’s a reminder of how far they’ve come and how much they’ve grown.

Lasting Memories Through Movement and Community
Dance class becomes more than just a place to learn—it becomes a source of connection, creativity, and pride. From the excitement of learning a new routine to the laughter shared between classmates, each experience helps shape a dancer’s confidence and sense of belonging. The memories made extend well beyond the classroom.
Engaging activities like rhythm games, partner work, and group challenges spark curiosity while building teamwork and trust. Along the way, dancers form friendships, grow more comfortable expressing themselves, and develop a deep appreciation for what movement can represent. These are the moments that shape not just dancers—but confident, joyful individuals.
